Nokia phone is now free on contract and offers free color cover for T-Mobile’s Lumia 710

Brand new Nokia Lumia 900 is now the darling of the media, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other Windows Phones made by the Finnish company. To remind everyone about that fact, Nokia is offering a free “Xpress on” backplate for T-Mobile’s Lumia 710.

The offer is available for devices purchased between January 11, 2012, and April 30, 2012, and in order to get your free cover you’ll have to complete the form at nokiacolorcover.com where you’ll include your personal details along with the date of purchase and 15-digit IMEI of the device. Upon submission, you must print the completed online submission form, and then mail it along with original sales receipt and UPC and barcode panel to Nokia Xpress-On Cover Offer, Dept. 533800, P.O. Box 342140, Memphis, TN 38184. Claims must be postmarked by May 14, 2012, and received by May 21, 2012. Yeah it’s kinda complicated and stupid, but I guess something’s gotta give to get that free cover, which BTW is available in white, cyan, fuschia and yellow.

In related news, T-Mobile is slashing the price of the Lumia 710 to free, though the price includes $50 mail-in rebate so you’ll still have to spend some cash upfront (while waiting to get it back).
