What is new is the operating system - Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich", and the HTC One V comes with HTC's new ImageSense digital imaging suite, plus the HTC Sense 4 UI package. The multimedia player has also been enhanced with Beats Audio.
Everything else about the HTC One V is pretty standard - there's 3.5G support, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a multimedia player and microSD slot.
The old HTC Hero phone was rather expensive, mainly because of its looks and the contemporary HTC Desire wasn't much more to buy. It remains to be seen just how much HTC want to charge for the One V, but the Desire S retails for about €330 SIM-free and we would expect the HTC One V to be a similar price when it becomes available during Q2 2012.
